The Youth Leadership Programme is a partnership between Groundwork and the Berkeley Foundation. The programme is designed to enable young people, from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or with fewer opportunities, to bridge the divide to access employment within the 'green agenda' and become future leaders.
The essential skills icons are included in the programme's reflection diary. Participants are introduced to the Framework, and essential skills are referenced during the sessions. Young people participate in workshops to consider broader aspects gaining essential skills during each stage of the leadership programme. Young people are given opportunities to apply all the essential skills gained particularly during the community social action stage. The reflection diary is used during each session with participants reflecting and reviewing personal goals and progress.
