What Ductu Offers

Ductu organises structured two-hour workplace visits for small groups of up to five students. Hosted by supportive employers who understand the needs of SEND learners, these visits open up different career pathways and help students build confidence, raise aspirations, and gain practical insight into the world of work.

Visit Format

Each visit typically includes:

  • A welcome and introduction to the company and its environment
  • A guided workplace tour
  • An interactive activity or industry demonstration
  • Time for students to ask questions and connect with professionals

Ductu integrates essential skills across all aspects of its programme. These skills are highlighted in resources shared with employers and schools, as well as in student and teacher surveys. Each visit includes opportunities for participants to identify which skills they have applied, supported by clear icons and reflection tools.

There is a particular focus on Adapting and Planning, with tailored activities that help students connect essential skills to positive outcomes in the workplace. Ductu also supports students to reflect on their confidence in specific skills, such as Listening, through structured content that encourages both practice and self-evaluation.
