Work Insights Week (WIW)

RSSB offers students the chance to be part of the future of rail! Over the course of a week students work on challenging rail related projects, supervised by RSSB experts. Students will discover the importance of sustainability, safety and innovation in rail as they work in a team to solve real life rail problems. The week ends with a HR focus as students learn how to get ahead in the application process through mock interviews and CV workshops.

At the start of each activity, students are introduced to specific skills steps that will help them to succeed in the task. After the activity students reflect how well they applied the skill in a workbook. Skills self-assessments at the start and end of the week help students to set goals to work on and measure their progress during the experience.
