Secondary school students attend a one-day event where they participate in three activity based workshops focused on sustainability and employability by leading global brands (such as Clyde & Co, Siemens and Nestle).
Students are given the platform to work on and demonstrate essential skills by participating in workshops during the event. For example they may be given specific speaking roles in a workshop or asked to feedback on behalf of their group during the discussion section of each workshop. Mentors are also given an essential skills mentor resource with guided reflection questions and mentor observation questions to help encourage essential skills language and ensure young people are thinking about and using essential skills.
