With a focus on Problem Solving, students are tasked with solving a financial crime based on real world challenges faced by Lloyds Banking Group. Students work in a team to analyse evidence, looking for facts about who committed the crime. They then dig deeper to uncover the root causes of the crime, helping them to understand how young people can avoid becoming involved in this kind of crime themselves.
The names and definitions for the skills and skill steps are used consistently throughout the resource. Each task is linked to a specific skill step, which is unpacked through discussion or video and then put into practice in the activity. Students are encouraged to reflect on how they used the skill steps through discussion during the activity and in a workbook at the end of the session.
